THE FARM
OUR MISSION
The Garden's Edge is a small - scale, sustainable farm using a model of ecological permaclture farming. Situated on a one acre property in Kalamos, Oropos the farm is designed and operated under a bio-intensive market garden model, that hosts an abundance of life.
We grow a wide variety of rare and flavorfoul vegetables and fruits that we deliver directly to our customers. This allows us to grow more flavorful and nutritious varieties, that are picked and delivered at their prime, without increasing the cost of production or the price of our products.
The underlying essence of our work is a reliance on appropriate technologies for small-scale, traditional farming that aims to sustain our environment, economy and health.
Our mission is to demonstrate how diversified small-scale farms, using regenerative and economically efficient agricultural practices, can produce a higher nutritional quality of food and healthier ecosystems.
We intend to stay small as a means to focus on quality over quantity and run an efficient operation. We intend to sell our produce directly, and reestablish the relationship between the farmer and the people, and create a resiliant local economy.
We will develop and trial the best of today’s modern tools and technologies and combine them with traditional ecological practices, in order to demonstrate what the farms of the future could be like.
